It is already some months further and I haven't written something in the past few weeks. So I feel glad to tell you now about the things I've done so far.
October started with a the greek festival where I went with Tim and Doug, a soccer match of one of our friends, watching the Martian and Doug's birthday. I've been a couple times to a football game now; watching our school lose.... This month I also started playing at a soccer club just with some friends to play every friday after school. It is great to play again some soccer after not having played for a couple of years. At school I just finished my first semester of the school year and I look back on it as a great first one. I passed all my classes and met some great people. With the aquadic science class I went a couple times to Galveston beach and I've enjoyed that. I feel like I've improved a lot with guitar and I still have it the rest of the year. While the time passed I also did great things with my host parents. I rode with Tim on the bike through parks and ate some really good hamburgers. I've been already to a lot of hamburger places who are just so good. Way much better then the Mac Donalds on the corner of the street. We have been on a cruise at the end of October. The cruise started with a wedding on the cruise and while we moved from the side we saw dolphins. Halloween was also at the time we were on the cruise. So we decided to make Pac man Costumes out of cardboard and we had a great time on the cruise and won a contest on the cruise for being best dressed up on Halloween. The cruise was for a couple of days so we also relaxed and ate a lot, again, I ate a lot of hamburgers. For one day we went off the cruise at Cozumel to visit the old Maya ruins. After having learned something for the old Maya's, we drove to the beach and I could drive a little and learned how to drive with gears. The beach was so beautiful. Sitting on the rocks eating some fajitas and we swum a bit. The last day of the cruise I met a Dutch guy at the cruise who worked there at the fitness department of the ship. He was a cool guy and we both struggled talking dutch so we talked dutch and english at the same time. It was fun to meet him. Tim and Doug brought me to Marshall's hypnosis show and that was mindblowing. But something more mindblowing is that I went to Brad Sugars' Masterclass in the middle of November. He gave me a 6000 dollar, 3 day education program, for free. So on the 8th of November Tim Doug and me went to Las Vegas with a couple other people from Houston. When we arrived there we ate hamburgers for dinner and slept to be rested for the next three days. I've prepared myself with reading one of his books and watching some of his video's all that has to do with business. These three days I learned more then I have ever learned in High School. I had a great time in Las Vegas spending with Brad Sugars as a teacher. He is a fantastic teacher and everything that came out of his mouth was just pure genius. He explained most of the things in a comprehensible way so I could understand it. In the evening we went to the strip of Las Vegas, went to the piff show from American's got talent and others played poker. I also tried to play slot games but they kicked me out most of the time. Nevertheless did I have a incredible time and it was a trip to never forget. Our flight back was at 12 o clock at night and we arrived at 6 o clock and I had to go to school without much sleep.
10 days later after the Masterclass Doug organized a investor club for a couple of people from Houston who also went to the Masterclass to buy build and sell business together.
Another event where Tim and Doug brought me to was to Turning Point from Marshall Sylver the hypnotist who came at the beginning of the month demonstrating hypnosis. In this two days program Marshall Sylver taught us about changing your mindset and your thinking capability. It were two phenomenal days of education again. The second day everybody had to lay on the floor and we were all hypnotized to give everybody a better feeling and we had to visualize things. For example where we would be within 5 years. The fun thing was that, even while we were in hypnosis, we were still in control of everything and we could resist in everything he told us to do in contrast of what most people think. At the very end of the program he moved a wooden stick of a plastic bottle just by imagination without touching. It was unbelievable.
For the first time in my life I've experienced Thanksgiving. So first it started of with Thanksgiving day and we went to Tim's family in the morning until the afternoon and at the evening we had dinner with Doug his family. The following day is Black Friday, Tim and Doug told me that this day is the biggest shopping day of the year and the last years there have died people because they were fighting over products. In the evening we would have a look but it wasn't as busy as I thought.
The next event that came up was that Paul Dunn came in town. He is a motivational speaker and what he tried to make clear was that you always need to know why you do every action and decision that you take to accomplish more, perform on a higher level and resist more the things you actually don't want but still do. So that was again very learningful.
Besides the things I've done with my host family so far I've been hanging out also with a couple of people over the last weeks. I've to a lot of great food places and playing soccer is a fun thing to do too. Going to the orchestra at school was also quite cool. At home watching movies, playing pool and swimming in the pool still haven't bored me so far. It is Christmas break now and I'm excited for Christmas that is coming in a few days. I miss my family and friends at home but I got a great time here and I definitely want to stay a little bit longer!
